Arizona: Desert Soul

I created a travel-style poster inspired by Arizona and the feeling of freedom that desert landscapes can give. I wanted the design to feel cinematic and adventurous while also capturing the warmth and calmness of the Southwest. The sunset colors, mountains, and cactus silhouettes helped create a dramatic atmosphere that immediately feels connected to Arizona’s environment.

When editing the poster, I focused on making it look like a real travel advertisement or wall print someone would buy. I used bold typography and warm tones to give the design a vintage but modern aesthetic. The phrase “Where the sun touches everything” was meant to make the poster feel more emotional and immersive instead of only informational.

What I enjoyed most about this assignment was being able to combine photography, design, and storytelling into one image. Even though the poster is simple, it still creates a mood and tells a story about travel, nature, and escape. It reminded me how powerful visual design can be when color, layout, and text all work together to create a feeling.
