What did you learn?

Through these visual assignments, I learned that digital storytelling is not just about making something look good visually. It is also about emotion, meaning, and creativity. Even simple edits or images can tell a larger story when combined with writing, sound, and other media. I also learned how much visual choices like lighting, color, and composition can completely change the mood of a project.

What was harder than expected?

One thing that was harder than I expected was making the assignments feel personal while still staying creative and meeting all of the technical requirements. Sometimes it was difficult balancing the storytelling aspect with finding supporting media, links, and organizing everything into one cohesive post.

What was easier?

What felt easier than expected was actually creating the visual pieces themselves. Once I stopped overthinking, I was able to use photos, editing tools, and ideas from everyday life to create projects that felt authentic to me. The assignments pushed me to be more experimental and trust my creativity more.

What frustrated you? Why?

The most frustrating part was sometimes trying to understand all of the assignment requirements and making sure every post included enough elements. Some assignments seemed simple at first, but actually required a lot more organization and detail once everything was added together.

What did you really enjoy? Why?

My favorite part was being able to turn personal experiences, emotions, and ideas into visual stories. I enjoyed having the freedom to make projects that reflected my personality and experiences instead of just creating something generic. It made the assignments feel more meaningful and creative instead of just feeling like homework.
